Can the Type of Calcium Make a Difference?
Yes. There are many different types of calcium. The calcium is identical in each case but the salt to which the calcium is attached varies. These different combinations can significantly affect absorption of calcium. Calcium carbonate, which is used in many calcium supplements, is poorly absorbed under certain conditions and can cause stomach gas. Hydroxyappatite (from calf bone) is even less soluble than calcium carbonate. Calcium citrate is no better absorbed than calcium carbonate for many people. Calcium citrate also is bulky resulting in a large pill size.
What is AdvaCAL?
AdvaCAL is a line of calcium supplements with AAACa calcium, the #1 bone-building calcium. AAACa is a natural ionic calcium from Japan. The AAACa calcium in AdvaCAL has shown significant bone improvement in four published studied involving postmenopausal or elderly people. Additionally, AdvaCAL is absorbable with or without food and does not produce stomach gas. The capsules are also small and easy to swallow.
Can AdvaCAL make a difference in my bone health?
Yes. In one study, average bone density of postmenopausal women and men taking AAACa calcium (AdvaCAL) increased 8% over those taking a placebo. Your results may vary.
When could I see results from taking AdvaCAL?
One AdvaCAL: study showed an increase in trabecular bone density in as little as four months. Other studies with AdvaCAL showed significant bone improvement at 6, 12, 18, 24 and 36 months.
AdvaCAL (AAACa) is natural calcium hydroxide and calcium oxide with HAI, a patented amino acid extract from Japanese sea algae. AdvaCAL is the #1 bone building calcium, clinically proven to build strong, more fracture resistant bones. AdvaCAL caplets are well tolerated in the stomach, safe, small, and easy to swallow.
For maximum benefit, take 3 capsules in the morning and 3 capsules in the evening, preferably with meals.
