Siberian Ginseng is a superior tonic herb, shown to be effective for athletes and active people for supporting their levels of energy, stamina and endurance. The eleuthero plant, commonly known as Siberian Ginseng, is a large shrub with a massaive root structure. This is far different from the panax plant which produces only one small, soft root. Because the eleuthero plant grows in a tundra-type climate, the roots must be very hardy to survive the severe winters. The fibrous roots resemble dense wood and are approximately 95% indigestible cellulose. To grind the dried roots into powder for encapsulation is tantamount to putting sawdust in capsules for ingestion. Imperial Elixir's Siberian Ginseng eliminates this absorption problem by first making a liquid extract from the roots and then powdering the extract. It takes five pounds of raw roots to make one pound of finished extract powder, which no longer contains the indigestible fiber; it does have the essential, active constituents of the root in an easy-to-assimilate form.
