| "Shen Min (meaning “Life/Vitality” in Chinese)
is a 100% natural hair nutrient derived from the eastern wild rose, also known as He Shou Wu. It is best known for its ability to stimulate hair growth and restore graying hair to its original color.
While the exact mechanism is still unknown, Shen Min seems to extend the growth phase of the hair follicle, thus reducing the number of hairs in the resting phase and fall out phase. The net effect is a greater number of hairs growing and fewer falling out. Another purported benefit may be derived from the ability of Shen Min to block DHT (DeHydro Testosterone) from binding to the follicle. DHT, the “bad” testosterone, is a leading cause of male pattern baldness because it helps deactivate the hair by binding to the follicle. Men produce greater levels of DHT as they age.

A 1983 study at the Hospital of Prevention and Therapeutics/Chemical Industry Shashi, China, found that of the 882 patients treated for hair loss with He Shou Wu for 3 months, 630 patients were cured while only 48 patients did not respond at all. Total effectiveness was over 94.5%. In another study, 88 patients with abnormally high cholesterol levels (hypercholestecolemia) were treated with He Shou Wu over a 30 day period and 78 patients had “significant” decrease in their LDL levels. Several other studies since the late 1960' have also provided support for these claims of hair growth and darkening of hair in men and women.
