Used for Heart Blood and/or yin deficiency causing Shen disturbances, in particular anxiety. Also is useful for nightsweats from Yin deficiency. Although tending to be somewhat cooling, this formula is mild enough to be used for Heat or thermally neutral presentations, and combines well with other constitutional formulas when additional Shen calming action is desired.
